In a heartfelt initiative, EXPO Group Bangladesh on Sunday hosted a special breast cancer awareness programme in collaboration with the Inner Wheel Club of Anondolok, District 328, at the Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel, the event’s official hospitality partner.

Aligned with SDG 3 and SDG 5, the HR-led initiative reflects EXPO’s ongoing commitment to wellness, empowerment, and community awareness under its CSR and People Care framework.
Zesrina Haider, District Chairman of Inner Wheel District 328, attended the event as guest of honour, while the keynote address was delivered by Professor Dr Israt Jahan (Ila), Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital.
‘Our greatest strength as an organization lies in caring for our people – not only by nurturing their careers but also by prioritizing their health and well-being,’ said Ayesha Saeed, Chief Human Resources Officer of EXPO Group Bangladesh, who led the event. ‘

This initiative reflects that belief. Breast cancer awareness is not just a cause we support for a day, but a continuous commitment to encourage regular check-ups, supports those fighting this battle, and foster a culture of empathy and care throughout the year.’

Zesrina Haider said, ‘Self-examination is incredibly important because prevention is always better than cure. It is our duty to raise self-awareness, educate ourselves, and help our sisters and friends become more aware. Inner Wheel has always been committed to sharing the right information and guidance, so that together we can take early action and save lives.’
Breast cancer survivors also shared their stories of struggle and resilience, inspiring participants with messages of hope and courage.

Closing the programme, Mushfequa Hossain Babuny, President of the Inner Wheel Club of Anondolok, expressed gratitude to EXPO Group Bangladesh for its partnership and continued commitment to awareness and well-being.

With the theme ‘Every Story is Unique, Every Journey Matters’, the event served as a reminder that every journey of struggle, recovery, and courage deserves to be seen, supported, and celebrated.
