Mohammad Abdul Jalil, former chief engineer of the Bangladesh Power Development Board (PDB), passed away on Saturday night at 10:30 p.m.
while undergoing treatment at Samorita General Hospital in Dhaka. Jalil had been battling illness for a prolonged period.
He was 78 at the time of his demise and is survived by his wife, two sons, and numerous well-wishers.
PDB Chairman Major General Rezaul Karim Mohammad Abdul Jalil expressed his condolences at the passing of the former chief engineer.
He extended his deep sympathies to the bereaved family, says a press release.
Mohammad Abdul Jalil began his career in 1970 as an assistant engineer at the Dhaka Electricity Board.
He went on to play a vital role in the field of power development, contributing to various important projects during his long career.
