Noor Mohammad , former lawmaker,ex-IGP, senior secretary, was accused of grabbing 130 acres of land in Katiadi upazila of Kishoreganj. There have even been allegations of harassment of the original owners of the land by threats and false cases by the police and terrorists.
The family of deceased Nurul Amin of land owner Katiadi made these allegations in a press conference at the National Press Club on Saturday.
Nurul Amin’s wife Hasna Amin, elder son Badrul Amin, younger son Sirajul Amin and brother Ruhul Amin were present at this time.
Noor Mohammad, however, claimed that the allegations were false. He has no connection with the land. Badrul Amin said that about 130 acres of his father Nurul Amin’s land was taken over by former IGP and Awami League Member of Parliament Noor Mohammad while in power. In 2008, 20-25 armed terrorists led by Noor Mohammad’s sister-in-law Moon and Shaon forcibly occupied the land. The police force helped them.
