Eviction operation stalled in Chauddagram

When the illegal establishment was to be evicted from railway land in Chauddagram, Cumilla, the eviction operation stalled to prevent squatters. Locals also formed a human chain against the operation. On Sunday), on the scheduled day of the eviction operation, hundreds of businessmen and locals participated in the human chain at the Gunabati Railway Station section of Chauddagram upazila of Dhaka-Chittagong Railway. When tension arose at that time, the eviction operation team led by Railway Chittagong Divisional Land Property Officer and Executive Magistrate Dipankar Tangchanga, including the army, police, railway police, Ansar, returned due to strong resistance from the locals. On the spot, it was found that the railway authorities had leased a water body next to the Gunwati Railway Station in the upazila. On Sunday morning, a team led by a magistrate came to the Gunwati Railway Station to evict some of the illegally occupied parts of the market on the northern side of the water body and to explain the water body to the lessee.
