In Tangail’s Mirzapur, various municipal roads and footpaths have been occupied to eviction of illegal shops. The eviction operation started today Thursday (September 26) under the initiative of Mirzapur Municipality. The operation was conducted by Mirzapur Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi and Executive Magistrate and Municipal Administrator Masudur Rahman. At that time, the former Acting Mayor of the Municipality Chandana Dey, Administrative Officer of the Office of the Upazila Executive Officer Md. Jubodil Khan , Municipal Executive Officer Md. Abds Salam, Chief Accounting Officer Md. Abdul Jalil, Abdur Razzak, Shamim Hossain, President of Mirzapur Bazar Association Md. Farooq Siddiqui. Transport worker leader Ali Hossain, Auto-Tempo owner and worker leader Motaleb Mia and Md. Azahar Ali were present.
In this regard, Mirzapur Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi and Executive Magistrate and Municipal Administrator Masudur Rahman said, Mirzapur Municipality is a first class municipality. Although the municipality was formed in 2000, the level of facilities did not increase.
