Bangladesh Ambassador to Mexico Mushfiqul Fazal Ansarey has welcomed the meeting between Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a “significant moment” for Bangladesh-India relations.
“Bangladesh is reclaiming its rightful place on the global stage with a sovereign and courageous foreign policy-one that is direct, focused, balanced, and nuanced,” he said in a post from his verified Facebook account, reports BSS.
The envoy said it is encouraging to see big neighbour India is recognising Bangladesh with a fresh approach and deeper understanding.
“I hope the Indian government is realising the will of the Bangladeshi people,” read the post.
