The city was only beginning to stir that early morning, yet on the third floor of Barishal’s Shilpakala Academy, the art gallery buzzed with vibrant energy. A spirited group of young participants, aged between 16 and 24, sat ready with notepads and pens, their eyes bright with curiosity and determination. United by a shared goal—to strengthen their leadership abilities, discover their inner potential, and step confidently into roles of purpose—they gathered for something special.
That purpose came alive through “Learn to Lead”, a signature initiative of the Lal Sabuj Society.
The full-day leadership development workshop, organized by this dynamic social organization, provided an engaging platform to nurture a new generation of changemakers. From 9 AM to 5 PM, participants took part in a carefully curated blend of interactive sessions, group discussions, team-based challenges, and experiential learning—creating an atmosphere brimming with enthusiasm, collaboration, and inspiration.
What makes “Learn to Lead” remarkable is that its impact reaches far beyond Barishal. Through this initiative, the Lal Sabuj Society has extended its footprint across Dhaka, Patuakhali, Rangpur, and several other regions—empowering hundreds of young individuals with the mindset, confidence, and practical skills needed to become effective leaders.
The workshop’s curriculum covers the core dimensions of leadership: strategic thinking, communication, empathy, conflict management, teamwork, and personal accountability. Participants learn through lectures, role-plays, interactive dialogue, and team exercises, transforming abstract leadership concepts into meaningful real-world practice.
Each session begins with a reflection on what leadership truly means. As Tahsin Uddin, Founder and President of Lal Sabuj Society, puts it:
