Bangladesh Railway has begun selling advance intercity train tickets from Monday for those planning to travel ahead of Eid-ul-Azha. Assuming Eid falls on June 7, the tickets are being released under a special seven-day schedule to manage the expected holiday rush.
According to the plan, tickets for travel on June 5 are available from Monday, while tickets for June 6 will be released on Tuesday.
To enhance passenger convenience, authorities have announced that 100% of tickets will be sold online this year. Sales for westbound trains began at 8:00 AM, while tickets for eastbound trains will be available from 2:00 PM.
A total of 33,315 seats have been allocated on intercity trains departing from Dhaka during the Eid travel period.
As per the current policy, each passenger may purchase up to four tickets per transaction, and all sales are final—no refunds will be issued.
