Educo Bangladesh, ESDO and TVET ink MoU for LIFT project

In a significant step towards empowering marginalized and underprivileged youth in Dhaka, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Educo Bangladesh and Eco-Social Development Organisation (ESDO) with Bangladesh Korea Technical Training Centre (BKTTC), E-learning and earning institute and Digicon Technologies. This partnership forms part of the ‘Leveraging youth employment in Bangladesh through improving their employability and competitiveness to fit with the 21st century job market (LIFT)’ project, aiming to elevate skill development and job opportunities for young people. The event was graced by the presence of Afzal Kabir Khan, Manager-Child Labor Education, Educo was present as the chief guest. Atal Kumar Majumder, Advisor ESDO presided over the program. Also present were Md. Delwar Islam, Senior Assistant Program Coordinator, ESDO, K. M. Shahiduzzaman, Upazila Social Service Officer, Sheikh Nowsher Ali, Youth Development Officer, who presented details about the activities and importance of the project at the program. In addition, representatives of technical and vocational educational institutions, and other officials of Educo and ESDO were present.
The primary goal of the project is to enhance the skills of 300 underprivileged youth (both male and female, aged 16-22) and create comprehensive and productive employment opportunities for them. As part of the activities, various skill development training and workshops will be organized to prepare the youth for the modern job market. The collaboration with BKTTC, E-learning and earning institute and Digicon Technologies. will further strengthen and make the implementation process more effective. Speakers noted that this project will expand employment opportunities for the youth of Dhaka and contribute to the improvement of their socio-economic conditions.
Chief Guest Afzal Kabir Khan stated, “Through this joint initiative, we aim to open the doors to a brighter future for the youth, which will enhance their quality of life and play a role in the country’s economic development.”
