Police have recovered the body of a student of Eden Women’s College from the capital’s Rampura area. Victim has been identified as Barsha Akhter (24). The incident took place on Saturday night. The family claims that she committed suicide.
In this regard, Barsha Akhter’s maternal uncle Abdul Malek told the media that his niece was a student of the political science department of Eden College. She used to stay at her aunt’s house in Rampura. He does not know why her niece committed suicide.
Rampura Police Station Inspector Fakhrul Islam told journalists that after receiving information this evening, the police broke the door of the house and recovered the bodies of the student hanging from the window. At that time, two mobile phones were recovered from her bed.
Police said that Barsha Akhter’s body has been kept at the Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy.
