The Election Commissioner (EC) of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Mesbah Uddin Ahmed declared on Friday all the submitted forty nine nomination papers for the upcoming election of BFF are valid. The election of the Executive Committee of BFF will be held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the city on October 3. A total of 139 delegates will cast their votes for the 21-member Executive Committee.
“The selection procedure started today at election commission office in Bangladesh Football Federation House. After scrutiny, the election commission found no error and declared all the forty nine nomination papers valid,” said the chief election commission Mesbah Uddin Ahmed through a video message on Friday.
“We have received three nomination papers against president post, two papers for senior vice-president posts, eight papers for vice-president posts and thirty six papers for member posts,” he added.
“Tomorrow (Saturday) is the deadline for withdrawal of nomination paper and we are expecting to publish the final list of the candidates on Sunday,” he said.
The candidates submitted their nomination papers on September 8 last to contest the much-hyped BFF election.
