Dutch-Bangla Bank is the sponsor of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket.
The logo-unveiling programme of BPL Cricket was held on Wednesday at the Press Conference Room of the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur.
The BPL Cricket is a T20 cricket competition. Chief Adviser of Bangladesh Interim Government Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud assured the BCB to give all sorts of co-operation to hold the BPL with a be-fitting manner.
To mark the logo-unveiling ceremony, a press conference was held there on the same day. Member Secretary of the BPL Governing Council Nazmul Abedin Fahim, Managing Director of the Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited Abul Kashem Md. Shirin and Afzal Hossain, the Representative of Impress Matra , the Branding Rights Holder of BPL Cricket were present at the conference, among others. Afzal Hossain is a noted and popular actor.
The duration time of relation between Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited and the Bangladesh Cricket Board is a long time. Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited sponsored a good number of cricket series between Bangladesh National Cricket team and their opponent teams.
Besides, Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited sponsored the Premier Division Hockey League for a long time. This is for the first time Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited is the sponsor of BPL Cricket, the most prestigious domestic cricket competition of the country. BPL Cricket is a franchise-based cricket meet.
The BPL started in the year of 2012.
The BPL of this year is the 11th edition of the gala cricket extravaganza. The 11th edition of BPL Cricket will start on December 30 and the mega cricket event came to an end on February 7.
Private satellite sports channel T Sports and private satellite channel GTV will telecast all the matches of BPL Cricket.
