DUCC hosts ‘Study Abroad Expo 7.0’ to guide students

DU Correspondent:

The Dhaka University Career Club (DUCC), a student-run organization based at the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC), organized a day-long event titled Study Abroad Expo 7.0 on Sunday, aiming to guide students aspiring for higher education overseas.

The event, held at TSC, began at 10:00 AM and continued until 5:00 PM, offering attendees one-on-one counseling sessions and informative workshops. Topics covered included admission procedures, scholarship opportunities, visa requirements, and career planning strategies essential for studying abroad.

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan inaugurated the event as the chief guest.

Six education consultancies — Hoque Education Dhaka, Maximus Education & Migration, Global Study, 45 Degree Education Consultancy, OTL International, and Smart Bee — participated, setting up stalls inside TSC where students engaged directly with representatives to discuss various aspects of overseas education.

The expo also featured prominent guests, including Mr. Rashed Hossain, CEO of Banglay IELTS; Ms. Farzana Bashar, Director of TSC; and Prof. Dr. Md. Mahfuz Ashraf from Australia’s Lincoln Institute of Higher Education, who attended as a keynote speaker.

The event was supported by media partners The New Nation, The Daily Naya Diganta, and RTV, contributing to its wide reach among students.
