British pop star Dua Lipa has fired her agent David Levy over his anti-Palestinian stance. Levy signed a letter to the organisers of the Glastonbury Festival in July this year to remove the pro-Palestinian Irish rap band Knicks from the concert lineup, Qatari media outlet Al Jazeera reported, citing The Mail.

In July, the Glastonbury Festival was marred by controversy over the Israeli-Palestinian issue.

One of the most controversial was the controversy surrounding Niqab’s performance.

According to Al Jazeera, a secret letter was sent to festival organiser Michael Avis, signed by several artists and crew members, requesting that Niqab’s performance at Glastonbury be canceled. However, the matter did not remain a secret until the end.

A letter sent to the organizer was leaked, and Nicapp was able to perform at the festival on time.

Last Sunday, The Mail quoted a confidential music industry source as saying, “Dua Lipa’s pro-Palestinian stance is at odds with her agent Levi’s.

In Dua Lipa’s eyes, Levi is a supporter of the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza. Levi’s signature on the letter sent to Michael Avis at least proves that.”

Dua Lipa’s agent, David Levy, represents the US-based WME talent agency. Al Jazeera has reached out to the agency for comment on the issue, but has not received a response.

Niqab has been accused of supporting the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah and the Palestinian armed group Hamas, although the band has repeatedly denied such claims.
