DU transcript-marksheet collecting process becoming hassle free

Dhaka University is finally going to modernize the process of retrieving students’ transcripts, marksheets and certificates, moving away from the outdated method.
Recently, the university added a link ‘service.du.ac.bd’ for students on its official website. Students can log in to this link with their academic email account with password and can request to supply him/her marksheets, transcripts and certificates as per their needs without having to be present at the university physically, and the university itself will deliver them to the address given by the student.
After applying, students can also observe the progress of the process taken by the university.
The current system will be existed and the new method continued until all the official systems related to controller of the examiner’s office be modernized, controller in charge of the university guaranteed it to The New Nation.
According to the University’s ICT cell, they have digitized the results of all students of the university since 2016 but the result of BBA and IBA are not included since that time for delaying to prepare the results of their students.
Professor Dr Mosaddek Ali Kamal Tushar, director of the university’s ICT cell said The New Nation We are basically giving priority to the recently passed students who actually need these documents and so we will soon update the data related to the results of five more years of the university.
“At the time of receiving the certificate, the students’ hall authority will be asked online to check whether he/she owes any money to them, and if yes, the student will have to deposit it online,” said he.
“This system is now in trial and there are some errors in the engineering of the technology but we hope we can officially start the process within two weeks,” the director said, “The more student will use the process the more we will find the errors and then we can identify the exact problems and can solve that.” Professor said the university did not have to spend a single extra taka to implement this technology rather we completed it ourselves as part of our routine duties.
Dr Himadri Shekhar Chakravarthy, controller in charge of the examination of the university, said how much the students will have to pay to apply for the documents is not decided yet.
Professor Dr Sayema Haque Bidisha, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) of the university said The New nation we have plan to preserve the real documents in a scientific way and after implementation we can think of digitized all the documents since 2021 of the university, especially the data related to the results of the students.
