Dhaka University authorities will investigate the allegations of irregularities in teachers’ recruitment and promotion from 2009 to August 2024.
The university’s highest policymaking body, the Syndicate, formed a committee to carry out the probe at a meeting held on March 17, 2025.
A press release signed by Deputy Director of DU’s Public Relations Office Forrukh Mahmud, said the committee has invited written complaints regarding any irregularities in teachers recruitment and promotion that took place during the period.
All current and former DU teachers, administrative officials, staff, and other concerned have been urged to submit accurate and specific information in this regard.
The deadline for filing complaints along with supporting evidence is July 25.
Complaints must be submitted to the member-secretary of the investigation committee who is also the acting registrar of the university.
The university administration has assured that the identities of complainants will be kept confidential and that necessary action will be taken against anyone found involved in irregularities.
