Wen, the Chinese ambassador to Bangladesh: Prof Dr ASM Yao Maksud Kamal, vice chancellor of the University of Dhaka; Chen Dongxiao, president of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies; and representatives from the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies, East China Normal University, Yunnan University and Tongji University attended the opening ceremony on Sunday.
More than 400 people from the Bangladesh government, political parties, universities, enterprises, media and international organizations, as well as Chinese representatives, participated, the Chinese embassy said.
