DU-Hokkaido joint collaboration

Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique and Prof Dr Michio J Kishi of the Faculty of Fisheries Sciences of Hokkaido University discussed matters of mutual interest specially possibilities of strengthening on-going joint collaborative academic and research programs between the Department of Oceanography of Dhaka University and Hokkaido University of Japan.
Prof Michio J Kishi called on DU VC on Monday at the VC office of DU. Chairman of the Department of Oceanography of Dhaka University Prof Dr Md Kawser Ahmed and Assistant Professor Md. Jobaer Alam were present on the occasion.
They also stressed on increasing bi-lateral relationship between the Bangladesh and the Japan in various sectors including education, culture, agriculture, fishery, industry and business. It may be mentioned that, Prof. Dr. Michio J. Kishi is now on a visit to Bangladesh to attened a four-day international conference organized by the Department of Oceanogrphy of Dhaka University.
The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique thanked the guest for his visit to Dhaka University and keen interest in its academic activities.
