DU entry test process begins from October 29

According to the decision of the General Admission Committee meeting held on Monday at the Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban Auditorium of Dhaka University under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan, 
The online application process for admission to the undergraduate program at Dhaka University for the 2025-2026 academic year will begin on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 12 noon and the online application process will end on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 11:59 pm.

According to the decision of the meeting, the admission test for the ‘Undergraduate Program’ will be held through 5 units in the 2025-2026 academic year. The units are- ‘Arts, Law and Social Sciences Unit’, ‘Science Unit’, ‘Business Education Unit’, ‘Fine Arts Unit’ and IBA Unit. 
The admission test admit card can be downloaded from Monday, November 24, 2025.

 The meeting has fixed the schedule for the admission test for the ‘Undergraduate Program’. According to the schedule, the admission test for the ‘Arts, Law and Social Sciences Unit’ will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, the admission test for the ‘Science Unit’ will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, the admission test for the ‘Business Education Unit’ will be held on Saturday, December 06, 2025, the admission test for the ‘Fine Arts Unit’ (General Knowledge and Drawing) will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, and the admission test for the IBA Unit will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025. The admission test for all units except the IBA Unit will be held from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. The admission test for the IBA Unit will be held from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm.

The admission test for the other 3 units, except the Fine Arts Unit and IBA Unit, will be held in 8 divisional cities including Dhaka. The departmental centers are Rajshahi University, Chittagong University, Barisal University, Khulna University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh/Kabi Nazrul University Trishal and Begum Rokeya University.

However, the admission test for the Business Education Unit will be held at Dhaka University, Rajshahi University, Chittagong University, Khulna University and Begum Rokeya University.

The meeting decided to conduct 60 marks MCQ and 40 marks written test in the admission test of other units except the Fine Arts Unit. It was decided to conduct 40 marks MCQ and 60 marks drawing test in the examination of the Fine Arts Unit only. 30 minutes have been set for the MCQ test of the Fine Arts Unit and 60 minutes for the written test. 45 minutes have been set for the MCQ test of other units and 45 minutes for the written test. 

Students will be evaluated on the basis of a total of 120 marks in the admission test. Out of this, 100 marks will be on the admission test and 20 marks will be on the results of the Secondary/equivalent and Higher Secondary/equivalent examinations.

 Applicants seeking admission must have passed the Secondary/equivalent examination from 2020 to 2023 and the Higher Secondary/equivalent examination of 2025. The minimum qualification is a minimum GPA of 8 and a minimum GPA of 3.5 in the SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examinations (including the 4th subject) for the ‘Science Unit’, a minimum GPA of 7.5 and a minimum GPA of 3.0 for the ‘Arts, Law and Social Sciences Unit’, a minimum GPA of 7.5 and a minimum GPA of 3.0 for the ‘Business Education Unit’, and a minimum GPA of 6.5 and a minimum GPA of 3.0
