DSHE initiates nationwide tree plantation prog

City Desk :

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has announced a comprehensive tree plantation programme across the country’s educational institutions to honor the anniversary of the July Uprising. This initiative will involve schools, colleges, madrasas, and technical institutes operating under the Ministry of Education.

In a directive issued on Tuesday, DSHE has called upon all educational institutions to participate actively by providing detailed information about their available land for planting trees. The institutions have been given a deadline of five working days to submit the required data, reports BSS.

The notification, signed by Md. Khalid Hossain, Assistant Director (General Administration) of DSHE, specifies that each institution must report certain key details. These include the name of the institution, its EIIN number, and total land area measured in square feet, the portion of land suitable for plantation, and the estimated number of trees that can be planted.
