Trading at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended in a downturn on Tuesday, with the market experiencing steady gains until noon before sliding into negative territory in the afternoon.
The primary index, DSEX, dropped by 35.05 points, closing at 5,298.36 points, reflecting a significant pullback in investor sentiment.
The DSES Shariah Index fell by 12.29 points to 1,183 points, and the DS-30 Index, representing blue-chip companies, declined by 7.34 points to settle at 1,970.10 points.
