The second working day of the week, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) witnessed fell while the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) index rise
On this day, the amount of transactions on the DSE increased compared to the previous working day, but the CSE decreased slightly. The prices of shares and mutual fund units of most companies participating in the DSE and CSE transactions decreased.
According to DSE and CSE sources, at the end of the day, the main index of the DSE, DSEX, decreased by 8.48 points from the previous day to 5,196 points. The DSE Shariah Index decreased by 1.85 points to 1,165 points and the DS30 Index increased by 1.37 points to 1,930 points.
A total of 398 shares and units of companies were traded on the DSE. Of these, the share and unit prices of 150 companies increased, 191 decreased and 57 remained unchanged.
A total of Tk 469.89 crore shares and units were traded on the DSE today. Shares and units worth Tk 415.50 crore were traded on the previous working day.
On the other hand, the CSCX index on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) increased by 3.14 points from the previous day to 8,857 points. The overall index CASPI increased by 0.79 points to 14,561 points, the Shariah index increased by 1.85 points to 946 points and the CSE 30 index decreased by 17.50 points to 12,098 points. A total of 210 companies’ shares and units were traded on the CSE. Of these, the share and unit prices of 87 companies increased, 97 decreased and 26 remained unchanged.
