The Election Commission (EC) will publish the draft voter list on Thursday following the update. After resolving any claims and objections related to the information, the final voter list will be published on March 2.
Confirming the matter, Election Commission’s Public Relations Director Md Shariful Islam on Wednesday, said the draft voter list will be published on Thursday. On this occasion, the election commission will brief the media at 10:30am.
On December 30, EC’s Additional Secretary KM Ali Newaz had announced that the draft voter list would be published on January 2. It will be made available to the public, and if anyone is missing, a process for claims and objections will be arranged. Following this, the final voter list will be released on March 2.
He said, “While updating the voter list door-to-door, they will not only collect information for the upcoming year but also gather details of individuals who will turn 18 by January 1, 2026. These individuals will be included in the 2026 voter list, but they will not be considered eligible voters for any elections next year.”
