BNP Chairperson’s advisor,ex-MP Advocate Fazlur Rahman said, ‘When Dr. Yunus shaheb is losing all the way in Bangladesh, he has flown 12 hours to London to meet our leader Tarique Zia to find a way. He is saying, “Give me a chance to talk.”
He made these remarks at a public meeting at Itna ‘s Baribari High School playground grounds on Wednesday evening,while Baribari union BNP president Habibur Rahman in the chair.
Senior lawyer Fazlur Rahman further said, ‘Our leader Tarique Rahman has all the power to run the country. I said that day, father, I will hold elections. Didn’t you listen to my statement? I said that a snake straightens up when it goes into a hole. Even 15 days ago, Yunus Saheb did not give 1 hour of time even after BNP asked for time for six days, now he has taken a 12-hour flight to London to talk to our leader.’
He also said, “The meeting with Tarique Rahman will be on Friday. I hope Professor Md. Yunus will speak honestly and truthfully. Yunus you are nine years older than me, you are my mentor. You are a Nobel laureate. I hope you will save this country through discussions with Tarique Rahman.
I don’t want to protest anymore. Now the people of Bangladesh want to vote.”
It was addressed among others , District BNP Vice President Advocate Umme Kulsum Rekha, former Upazila Chairman Advocate Aminul Islam Ratan, SM Kamal Hossain, AHM Zahidul Alam Jahangir, Syed Sayed Ahmed, Itna BNP general secretary Siddiquzzaman Thakur Swapan etc.
