Former Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Bin Mohamad arrives here on Saturday to attend the convocation of the University of Information, Technology and Sciences (UITS) to be held here on the same day.
Dr Mahathir is scheduled to arrive here at 10:30 am on the day by a special
aircraft, said UITS assistant registrar Rashida Banu Tithi.
She said President Abdul Hamid will preside over the UITS’ second convocation to be held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the afternoon.
Dr Mahathir is likely to leave Dhaka at 9:30 am on Sunday.
