Nazmun Munira Nancy, whose singing captivated the audience from 8 to 80 years, she dominated the era of CDs and cassettes and has been popularised among the audience with her singing style.
She received the National Film Award. Nancy was back on track last year, and now busier than ever.
Nancy got the unlimited love of the audience.
This singer said that she wants to be wrapped in the blanket of everyone’s love in the New Year.
Asked about last year’s accomplishments and achievements, Nancy told this correspondent, “I don’t take any account of achievement or non-achievement.
But the respect that everyone is giving me is very dear to me. The feeling that I am being called and honoured by the places where I was banned from can be called as achievement for me. I could not sing in the movie.
I sang in a movie in 2023, CJFB honoured me for that song.”
“Standing there on the stage, I said this in front of everyone, I am very happy that I will not be called on this occasion and won’t be given an award,” she also said.
The singer was asked to answer the question, what exactly did she arrange? Nancy’s simple answer was, “I would have planned to do this many, many years ago. Since then, there is no plan for life or work because nothing has happened as planned in my life.
What happened without planning? I never thought that I would lose my mother so soon, that there would be so many ups and downs in my life, and but still happened. So, now I don’t think about that anymore, I don’t want to think about it. I gave up thinking about the future long ago.”
Referring to the song, Nancy said, “Now that I have no restrictions, there is no problem to work. Earlier those who could not see me for music or any event, now they are calling me. It is certainly an honour to me. Now I can sing on stage, it feels so good.
But instead of the joy of standing on the stage and singing, those who pushed me away earlier, now they are calling me -it feels very good to me. I am now enjoying the respect more
than the music.”
“Commercial songs are not being made now. I’m singing to satisfy my hunger. These songs might not get me 10 shows, but those who like Nancy’s songs will love them,” she added.
Nancy said that she will bring several new songs
in the New Year.
According to her, “3 songs are ready. Maybe in the future I will do the songs one by one. Now if you want to sing, you have to make a music video.
I didn’t have enough money or sponsors to make their music videos. Many have such facilities; they are able to do that. I will also do it if
I get a sponsor in the future. But I will sing.”
