Old songs in new music arrangements – this has been a trend in the music industry for a few years.
Old popular songs are also being used in movies. Sometimes parts of old popular songs are being added to new songs.
This time, popular singer Doly Sayontoni is joining this list. She is planning to re-release the popular songs she has sung.
Doly Sayontoni had received an offer from the production company to sing old songs a long time ago.
But she did not agree at that time. After the success of the song ‘Lichur Bagane’ in Shakib Khan’s film ‘Taandob’, which was released on Eid-ul-Azha, Doly has changed her mind.
She has decided to re-release the popular songs she has sung. While talking in this regard, Doly said, “Several companies made me offers.
At first, I wondered if the new music arrangement would be able to take the place that the old songs have among the audience. However, in the case of others, I see that they are getting a good response.
I sang the song ‘Lichur Bagane’ used in Shakib Khan’s movie two decades ago. The production company asked me to sing it again. I did not agree. But Pritam did it, and it created a stir across the country.”
Doly Sayontoni has been in Canada for almost a year. There, she will lend her voice to a new arrangement of her song ‘Hey Jubok’ next week. After this song, she will work on a few more songs.
The singer said, “Last Friday, a producer from Bangladesh called. He has re-arranged ‘Hey Jubok’ and wants me to sing it. This time, I didn’t say no. I have decided to join the trend.
I will lend my voice to the song next week. Apart from that, I will also gradually re-sing the other songs that I have sung that have become popular.”
