BSS, Dhaka :
Opener Dilara Dola hit her maiden ton as East Zone posted 316-8 against Central Zone on Day 1 of the second round of Women’s Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi on Thursday.
Dola became the third female cricketer from Bangladesh to hit a ton in the first class cricket after Nigar Sultana Joty and Fargana Haque Pinky, who both hit centuries in the first round.
Dola who opened the innings eventually was out for 102 off 131, after clobbering 11 fours and two sixes.
Opting to bat first, East Zone lost opener Shompa Akter cheaply but Dola stitched 154-run with Jannatul Ferdous Tithi for the second wicket to help the side set a strong platform.
