In a private hospital called Zamzam Specialized Hospital in Ishwardi, a complaint of death of a newborn due to doctor’s negligence has been received. Officer in charge of the police station Rafiqul Islam said that a written complaint was filed at the Ishwardi police station on Sunday (March 10) afternoon. The incident took place at a private institution on Hospital Road in the city on Sunday. The physical condition of Israt Jahan Sinta, the mother of the dead newborn, is also said to be critical.
Sinta’s father Imarat Ali and family members said that Nafisa Kabir, managing director of Zamzam Specialized Hospital, created confusion by talking about normal delivery and cesarean operation. His indecisiveness and wrong treatment led to the death of the newborn. Israt Jahan Cinta’s condition is also said to be bad after stillbirth. Imarat Ali also said that Nafisa was under Kabir’s supervision since the girl became pregnant.
Relatives said that after admission, Sinta’s physical condition gradually deteriorated due to extreme negligence of doctors, nurses and hospital authorities in providing treatment. Bleeding profusely. Realizing the seriousness of the condition, the hospital authorities advised the patient to be admitted to another hospital. Immediately after being admitted to the Pabna General Hospital, the patient’s condition further deteriorated. From there he was taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
Accused doctor Nafisa Kabir said that there was no negligence and said that due to the poor physical condition of the patient, there was a lot of blood loss and the newborn died. He has been advised to take Rajshahi for better treatment.
