Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) conducted drives to two egg warehouses and fined tk 1.10 lakh in Achmitha Bazar and Binnati Bazar of Kishoreganj district to monitor the kitchen markets on Monday.
The operation led by Rahdoy Ronjon Bonik, Assistant Director (AD) of DNCRP, Senior Animal Resource Officer Siyam Hossion.
For increasing the price by manipulation and not keeping the price list, under Section 38 of the Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009, Mayer Doa Enterprise has been fined tk. 100,000 and Modina Enterprize has been fined tk. 20,000.
Assistant Director (AD)of Rahdoy Ronjon Bonik told the New Nation that, the drives target egg depots, with the primary objective of the prices of this essential commodities.
