Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Habibur Rahman said there will be special measures from 3 pm to 7 pm to control traffic during the holy month of Ramadan.

He said that action will be taken against anyone who illegally parks a car on the road.

He said this at a press conference on overall security and traffic management in Dhaka metropolitan area on Monday (March 11) on the occasion of the upcoming month of Ramadan. DMP Commissioner Habibur Rahman said, we have several challenges in the month of Ramadan.

The traffic is one of the biggest challenge. Police are working to control the traffic. Traffic control also requires the awareness and cooperation of city dwellers.

Those who use cars, those who ride in cars and those who do business around the road side need cooperation.

Otherwise, the police will not be able to solve the traffic problem overnight in the area of 306 square kilometers where 200 million people live, DMP said Commissioner.
