The traffic division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Wednesday filed 2173 cases against traffic law violators in different areas of the capital.
In addition, 290 vehicles were dumped and 132 vehicles were wrecked during the operation, said a police press release.
The DMP has vowed to continue the operation to maintain traffic discipline in the Dhaka metropolitan areas.
