Dhaka Medical College (DMC) won the third Bangladesh Medical Olympiad on Saturday at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital in Dhaka. Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) finished as runner-up, while Green Life Medical College (GMC) took third place.
The competition was organised by Planetary Health Academia (PHA) and Platform, featuring teams led by Ibrahim Khalil (DMC), Md Muhtasim Rahman Mahir (RMC), and Simanta Modak (GMC). Winners received trophies and medals, along with a career workshop for medical students.
The event was supported by the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME) and UniMed UniHealth Pharmaceuticals Limited. Dr. BM Atiquzzaman served as chief judge, with key contributions from PHA officials.
The University Of Central Florida College Of Medicine’s faculty physician Dr BM Atiquzzaman is the judge of the Olympiad while Dr. Razuana Rahman and Dr Sharmin Abbasi are co-judges.
PHA Chairman Dr Tasbirul Islam, Dr Chowdhury H Ahsan, Dr Shakil Farid, Dr Naser Khan and Omar Sharif have regularly been working for Bangladesh Medical Olympiad.
