DIU launches Daffodil Helicam

Daffodil International University (DIU) successfully launched its official flight of Daffodil Helicam recently at the city’s Kalabagan playground. An enthusiastic students team from EEE department of DIU led by Hasib Mahmud and assisted by Nahid Ferdous along with their coordinator Syed Raihan-Ul-Islam produced this remote controlled Daffodil Spy Quad Copter/Helicam after three months of restless efforts with a plan to use it for important search and rescue operation.
The Daffodil Helicam developed by some student researchers of the university, flew in the sky for 10 minutes. The researchers operated the Helicam without a pilot and controlled from the ground.
Prof Dr Engr AKM Fazlul Hoque, Registrar, Prof Dr Md. Fokhray Hossain, Director of International Affairs, Dr Md. Fayzur Rahman, Head, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Md. Abdur Razzaque, Instructor, Media Lab of DIU were present among others in this official flying session of Daffodil Helicam.
