In Chatmohar Municipality of Pabna, the distribution of rice among extremely poor, helpless, and distressed families and individuals was inaugurated under the VGF program on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
The rice distribution program was launched on Monday afternoon by Adv. Sakhawat Hossain Sakho, Mayor of Chatmohar Municipality and Vice-President of Pabna District Awami League.
Present at the inauguration were Municipal Councilor Noor Hasan Khan Maina, former Press Club President Helalur Rahman Jewel, and municipal officials. A total of 4,621 families and individuals in first-class Chatmohar Municipality are receiving 10 kg of rice per card.
Simultaneously, the distribution of VGF rice has also commenced in 11 unions of Chatmohar Upazila. In these unions, 20,307 families are receiving 10 kg of rice each.
The distribution breakdown is as follows, Handyal Union: 2,076 families, Chaikola Union: 2,013 families, Gunaigacha Union: 1,121 families, Haripur Union: 2,139 families, Mulgram Union: 2,387 families, Pashar Danga Union: 1,649 families, Mathurapur Union: 1,121 families, Bilchalan Union: 1,121 families
