A discussion meeting was held on ‘Grain Value Chain Actors’ organised by RDRS Bangladesh in collaboration with HarvestPlus Bangladesh “Reacts in Project”.
The meeting was held at Haripur RDRS training center of upazila of Thakurgaon district with rice traders, paddy traders and farmers yesterday at 10 am on Monday.
Md. MujibarBahman, Project Manager of HarvestPlus Bangladesh “Reacts in Project” was the chief guest in the meeting. Under the supervision of RDRS Technical Officer (Agriculture) Shahinur Islam and various businessmen were present Prof. Sajeman Ali of Asha Auto Rice Mill of Upazila. 30 people were present in the meeting. In the meeting, the importance of zinc in the human body, the yield of zinc rice, the benefits of zinc, and the benefits of zinc deficiency were given to encourage the farmers to cultivate zinc rich rice to fill the zinc deficiency.
