On the initiative of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Mymensingh city, a discussion meeting on ‘Paltan Tragedy’ was held on Monday.
The event was organized at the city’s Muslim Institute auditorium.
Ameer of Mahanagar Jamaat Maulana Kamrul Ahsan Emrul was present as the chief guest in the function under the chairmanship of MahanagarJamaat working council member and Ameer of Akua Police Station Dr. Abdul Aziz.Naib Ameer Asaduzzaman Sohail, Assistant Secretary Mahbubul Hasan Shamim, Organising Secretary Al HelalTalukdar were the special guests.
In the speech of the chief guest, Maulana Kamrul Ahsan Emrul said, during the Awami fascist government, we could not distribute any leaflets or put up any posters.
Last year, when we went to put up posters, some of our brothers were picked up by law enforcement personnel at night.
We had to do these things very secretly. By the grace of Allah, we have this opportunity now.
We have not been able to do any program for the last 17 years about our brothers who were martyred on October 28.After the July Revolution, we are now able to hold a ceremony in memory of those martyrs.
