Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival (DIMFF) in collaboration with St. Joseph International School concludes a four day one Minute workshop titled “School: Mobile Filmmaking” at St. Joseph International School promises. The purpose of this workshop was to introduce participants with the creative world of filmmaking using mobile phones. The four day filmmaking workshop was held on September 12,13,19 and 20 with 120+ students participating from 6th to 8th grade. They were divided into 10 teams for getting hands-on training to create mobile shot film that would be directly submitted under the “One minute Category” and screened at the 12th Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival. Instructor Mohammed Farhad Hossain Fahad guided the participants from pre-production to post -production including the creative process of developing film’s storyline,scene distribution,shot-taking method and editing.
The closing ceremony was graced by DIMFF Advisor Syeda Sadia Mehjabin and Brother
Chandon B. Gomes, CSC,Principal, St. Joseph International School. Brother Chandon B.
Gomes highlighted the workshop’s core mission stating, “This is the door opening for our
students to embark on a journey into the creative art of filmmaking.
Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival, an outreach program of University of Liberal Arts
Bangladesh (ULAB) started its journey in 2015 with the motto “New Generation, New Tools
and New Communication”.This event is to encourage filmmaking through mobile phones.The film submissions of 12th Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival will be closed on the 24th of September, 2025 and extended submission will be 24th of October.
