‘Digitized school enrollment process stop irregularities’

Education Minister Dipu Moni on Monday said that various types of irregularities over the admission process have been stopped following digitized school enrollment.
The students have also been relieved from the mental stress by digitizing the school admission process.
The minister made the statement after inaugurating the digital lottery in the admission program for the 2023 academic year of government schools at the International Mother Language Institute in the afternoon. Dipu Moni said that the digital lottery was introduced to eliminate the existing problems in the admission process.
She said, “Although many are happy with the lottery system, some parents are unhappy with it as they are not able to enroll their children in schools of their choice.”
“We have been able to digitize the school admission process and also stop the admission-coaching business, extra student enrollment and financial lobbying, ” the minister added. Meanwhile, the education minister also said that earlier the students were under a lot of stress regarding the admission test. Now students are free from that. According to the new curriculum, students will learn stress-free. Government’s goal is to make every school the best, she noted. The results of the digital lottery for admission to private schools will be announced on December 13.
 Lottery results will be available on the designated school admission website.
According to the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), a total of 1,07,089 vacant seats in 550 government schools across the country from first to ninth grade while a total of 25,066 seats were vacant in 2,852 private schools.
