Dhaka Warriors champs in Boys’ Group

Dhaka Warriors became champions of the Boys’ Group of the Walton Refrigerator 1st National Floorball Competition when they beat Dhaka Commerce College by 3-2 goals in the final at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday.
Azimpur Young Club finished third when they defeated Rajshahi Young Tigers in a place-deciding match at the same venue on the same day.
Earlier, Dhaka Commerce College emerged the champions of the Girls’ Group when they edged past Dhaka Young Women’s team by 3-2 goals at the same venue on the same day.
Tapu was adjudged the best player (Boys’ Group) of the meet while Sadia Afroz was adjudged the best player (Girls’ Group) of the competition.
After the final match Additional Director of Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Don distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest. General Secretary of Bangladesh Floorball Association Solaiman Sikder and Chairman of the Tournament Committee Md Shahjahan Ali were present at the time.
