Dhaka and Islamabad is keen to explore new areas of enhanced bilateral ties including trade and economics between the two countries for mutual benefits.
The remarks came when High Commissioner of Pakistan to Bangladesh, Imran Haider, met with Bangladesh’s Foreign Secretary, Asad Alam Siam, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday to discuss strengthening bilateral relations.
The two sides exchanged views on expanding cooperation in trade, economic engagement, connectivity, multilateral forums, and other areas of mutual interest.
They also reviewed several proposals for collaboration, which are expected to be finalised at the upcoming meeting of the Joint Economic Commission.
Haider expressed appreciation to the Bangladeshi side for the excellent arrangements and hospitality during the recent visit of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, to Bangladesh.
The discussions signal both countries’ commitment to deepening ties and enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors.
