Dhaka International Trade Fair begins January 1

The 30th Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF)-2026 will begin on 1 January at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre in Purbachal.
Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus will formally inaugurate the trade fair.
Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman disclosed the information at a press conference on DITF-2026 held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre on Monday.
EPB Vice-Chairman Hasan Arif, Additional Secretary (Export) of the Ministry of Commerce Abdur Rahim Khan, and Director General of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Baby Rani Karmakar were present at the event.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commerce Secretary said that stall and pavilion spaces in various categories have been allocated online for this year’s fair. An e-ticketing system has also been introduced, allowing visitors to enter the fair by scanning QR codes after purchasing tickets online, alongside the existing on-the-spot ticketing facility.
He added that, to facilitate visitors’ transportation, dedicated BRTC bus services will be available, along with concessionary-rate services from Pathao. An ‘Export Enclave’ has been set up to showcase the activities of the Export Promotion Bureau and highlight the capacities of various export sectors. To commemorate the Language Movement of 1952, the Liberation War of Bangladesh, and those injured and martyred in the July Movement of 2024, a ‘Bangladesh Square’ has been constructed to display still photographs. Initiatives have also been taken to organise sector- and product-based seminars highlighting promising industries.
