Dr. Khondokar Ehsanul Kabir, Principal of Jessore Government Michael Madhusudan College, has been appointed as the new chairman of the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board.
This information was announced on Tuesday through a notification from the Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education.
Dr. Ehsanul Kabir is a professor in the Department of Physics. Prior to this appointment, he served as the principal of Jessore Government Michael Madhusudan College.
The chairman position at the Dhaka Board had been vacant since December 31, after the previous chairman, Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar, retired and went on post-retirement leave (PRL) upon reaching the age limit for government service.
In a separate notification, Dhaka Board’s Controller of Examinations, Md. Abul Bashar, was relieved from his deputation and designated as a Special Officer (without responsibilities).
Additionally, Professor S.M. Kamal Uddin Haider, a professor at Government Titumir College, has been appointed as the new Controller of Examinations for the Dhaka Board.
