NN Online: On the occasion of the Great Victory Day, a discussion meeting and essay competition on Victory Day were organized by the Medical College, Dental Unit and Community Hospital on Tuesday (December 17) morning.
Dhaka Community Medical College Principal Professor Dr. A. S. M. Monirul Alam presided over the meeting with freedom fighter Kaiser Ahmed as the chief guest.
The discussion was addressed by Professor Dr. Mahmudur Rahman, Chairman, Governing Body, Dhaka Community Medical College and Freedom Fighter Ekushey Padak recipient Professor Dr.Quazi Quamruzzaman, Chairman, Dhaka Community Hospital Trust.
The meeting was attended by freedom fighter Kaiser Ahmed, who was present as the chief guest, said, we all have to work together to protect the country.
President of the event, Professor Dr. A. S. M. Monirul Alam, said, we have to come orward to build the country along with our studies.
Before that, the program started with the hoisting of the national flag and the singing of the national anthem at sunrise. In this, deep respect and gratitude were expressed to all the brave freedom fighters who participated in the great liberation war and the souls of the martyrs were prayed for.
The crest was presented to the brave freedom fighter Kaiser Ahmed by Professor Dr. Mahmudur Rahman.
The program of Nursing College and ICHB started at 2 pm. Quazi Habibur Rahman, Advisor, Dhaka Community Hospital Trust, delivered the welcome speech. A discussion meeting on Victory Day, a documentary film screening and essay competition were held at the program.
20 students participated in the essay competition on the topic of Freedom is mine.
The winners were awarded by Professor Dr. Quazi Quamruzzaman, Chairman, Dhaka Community Hospital Trust, and Quazi Habibur Rahman, Advisor, Dhaka Community Hospital Trust.
