NN Online:
Students from Dhaka College and City College were involved in another round of clashes on Tuesday, causing unrest in the surrounding area.

According to police, tensions escalated around Tuesday afternoon when a group of students from Dhaka College marched toward City College and began hurling brickbats. The altercation reportedly stemmed from a previous incident on Monday, where a Dhaka College student was allegedly assaulted by a group from City College. The following day’s confrontation appears to have been an act of retaliation.

Despite the disturbances, traffic flow in the area remained unaffected, said Mohsin Uddin, the acting chief of New Market Police Station.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that a minor dispute quickly intensified, resulting in a larger scuffle between students of the two institutions.

Local business owners and residents continue to express frustration over the recurring violence. Many say the frequent unrest has disrupted their daily lives.

Riazul Islam, a Facebook user and local pharmacy worker, voiced his dismay online: “They’ve studied only to become inhuman. Every few days, they reveal their true nature.”
