Dhaka and All Divisions to See Rain in 24 Hours: Weather Office

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thundershowers across all divisions, including Dhaka, over the next 24 hours starting from 9:00 AM Thursday.

According to the BMD update, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by lightning and temporary gusty winds are likely at many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. Some areas may experience moderately heavy to heavy rainfall.

Day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged across the country.

In the past 24 hours until 6:00 PM Thursday, the highest temperature recorded was 36.2 degree Celsius  in Khulna. The lowest, 19.5 degree Celsius , was recorded in Sayedpur, Nilphamari, until 6:00 AM Friday.

A trough of low pressure lies over West Bengal and its adjoining areas, while a seasonal low is situated over the South Bay.
