Amidst a overabundance of both commercially successful and less profitable films, one
of the more critically acclaimed works of last year, ‘Deyaler Desh’, is gearing up
for its release in Pakistan.
Directed and written by Mishuk Moni, the film stars Sariful Razz and Shobnom Bubly, both delivering exceptional performances in the lead roles.
The film hit the Pakistani theatres on January 3, as confirmed by the director himself through a Facebook post.
Released during last Eid-ul-Fitr, the movie has already toured several countries, including the United States, Canada, and Australia.
In Pakistan, the distribution is being handled by the American company Avail Entertainment.
Funded through a government grant, film ‘Deyaler Desh’ marks the directorial debut of Mishuk Moni.
Speaking about the film’s release in Pakistan, Mishuk shared, “This is my first feature film, and after its release last year, we received tremendous praise from both audiences and critics. It has been a significant achievement for me.”
“Besides Bangladesh, the film has been screened in various countries, and now it is being released in Pakistan. I’m excited and I hope the Pakistani audience will appreciate it just as much.”
In ‘Deyaler Desh,’ Razz and Bubly appeared together on screen for the first time.
The film also features an ensemble cast that includes Zinat Sanu Swagata, Shahadat Hossain, Azizul Hakim, and Saberi Alam in key roles.
