A meeting titled “Development Ideas of the Khagrachhari Hill District” was held on Tuesday at the Khagrachhari Officers’ Club, bringing together district administration officials and journalists from the district headquarters and upazilas to discuss strategies for inclusive and sustainable development.
Organized by the Khagrachhari District Administration, the meeting was presided over by Deputy Commissioner ABM Iftekharul Islam Khandaker, who led a detailed discussion on the district’s overall development roadmap.
Key topics included participatory development for remote and disadvantaged communities, addressing challenges in health, education, and infrastructure at both district and upazila levels, exploring the district’s tourism potential, and emphasizing the importance of environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, and climate resilience in the hill region.
