Deputy Commander of the US Army Pacific Command Lieutenant General Joel B Voel paid a courtesy visit to Chief of Army Staff General Waker-uz-Zaman at the Army Headquarters on Tuesday.
Bangladesh Army made this disclosure through a post on the verified Facebook page that Chief of Army Staff General Waker-uz-Zaman along with other senior military officials, met a delegation led by Lieutenant General Joel B Voel, deputy commander of the US Army Pacific Command, at the Army Headquarters on Tuesday.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged greetings and discussed various aspects of enhancing the capabilities of the armed forces of Bangladesh and the United States.
The deputy commander of the US Army Pacific Command praised the unique role played by the Bangladesh Army in United Nations peacekeeping missions. He also commended the professionalism and various activities of the Bangladesh Army personnel currently deployed in Aid to Civil Power operations.
Additionally, the US Ambassador to Bangladesh, Tracy Ann Jacobson, was present during the meeting, as confirmed by the Bangladesh Army’s statement.
