Bangladesh has reported five additional deaths from dengue in the past 24 hours, while 792 new patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country.
The figures were released on Saturday in a bulletin from the Health Emergency Operations Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services.
According to the update, the latest admissions include 125 patients in Barishal division (outside the city corporation), 136 in Chattogram division, 107 in Dhaka division (outside the city corporation areas), 226 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 121 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 15 in Khulna division, 60 in Mymensingh division and two in Sylhet division.
A total of 783 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals in the past 24 hours. So far this year, 80,243 patients have recovered and left hospital care.
As of 15 November, the country has recorded 83,858 dengue cases in 2025. Of these, 62.4 percent are men and 37.6 percent women.
All five of the latest fatalities were reported from Dhaka North City Corporation. The death toll from dengue this year has now risen to 331.
By comparison, Bangladesh recorded 101,214 dengue cases and 575 deaths in 2024. The year before that was the deadliest on record, with 1,705 deaths and 321,179 hospital admissions between January and December 2023.
